Ed’s iLog 2: Subcultures and Resistance
This is reflective of the “punk” subculture resistance to the dominant hegemonic fashion paradigm. For me, this is poignant because the convictions represented by both resistance groups provide reassurance for the desire for change. They are demanding and assertive by definition. This reflects a certain level of commitment necessary for change, something I hope to be a part of.
